Andy was appointed Group CEO of Esh Group in May 2017, prior to which he had been Group CFO for over seven years.
As a chartered accountant, Andy has worked in a variety of sectors throughout his career, spanning textiles, manufacturing, building products and construction. These positions have been served in a broad range of organisations, which have included national and international business, and also encompassed privately owned, PE-backed and PLC environments. He has spent 19 years of his career at main board and C-suite level. In 2010 Andy was named Yorkshire CFO of the year.
He decided to join the Yorkshire and Humber BITC advisory board as a natural extension to the comprehensive social value programmes delivered by the Esh Group. Its programmes actively support employability skills among younger people, engaging with a wide population of schools across the Yorkshire and the North East. Esh Group are multiple BITC award and big tick winners.
Andy is married with two young children. He enjoys skiing in winter and plenty of sun in the summer. Other interests include music, having previously been a sax player in a 16-piece big band, and cooking.
