BITC's Digital Deep Dive Workshop: Developing a framework for resilient urban and rural environments

March 21, 2018
In January 2018 Business in the Community (BITC) partnered with Anglian Water and Capgemini at their ASE space to develop a digital framework to accelerate solutions for the environment. This is a film of what happened on the day. The natural environment is vital to the success of business, from sustainable water and energy supplies, to food and natural resources. Understanding and managing the importance of the natural environment to your business is essential to ensuring the long-term stability of supply chains, transport, tourism and rural and urban economies. The business consequences of ignoring the impact on the natural environment are rising costs, reduced availability quality of resources and the impact that has on business growth. Digital transformation provides an opportunity for better informed decision making on how best to minimise the impact of supply chains, this event gathered businesses together to inform a report that will identify clear recommendations for government and business and a framework for action which will be presented during Responsible Business Week.
